The body lotion that gives tighter & smoother skin…

Sol De Janeiro is a ‘MUST HAVE’ in my beauty routine and one of my favourite products of all time, i have been using there products for about 6 months now and i am obsessed.

I have always had dry skin on my body and tried lots of different brands but nothing compares to Sol de Janeiro, the smell of these products are just divine, Pistachio caramel is there original scent but i think you need to smell it before you decide if you would like it as it is incredible! if you did decide it wasn’t for you they also have an acai scent available. i personally haven’t tried that one as i love the pistachio caramel one too much. Now lets get into my collection….

The first product that i tried from Sol de Janeiro was there ‘Brazilian Bum Bum Cream’. It is a “fast-absorbing all over body cream that helps tighten and smooth like no other” and i agree. i love this cream for being fast-absorbing, i’m a girl on the go and theres nothing worse than having to dance around the bathroom waiting on my body lotion to dry when i have places to be! This drys into the skin nice and quickly and leaves a sheen on your skin like your a goddess. i always feel so much more confident in myself when i have smothered myself in Bum Bum cream the sheen on your skin and the smell are just so uplifting and make me feel good. I used this cream recently before going on holiday and i actually did find it to help smoothen and tighten my skin (especially my bum bum!) which for me is an added bonus as even if it didn’t i would still use it for the scent alone!

‘Brazilian 4play moisturising shower cream-gel’, i decided to give this a try after i had fell in love with the body lotion and i was not disappointed. i like the consistency of the shower cream-gel it pours out like a gel onto your hand but rubs onto the skin like a cream which is really nourishing. With my love of the scent i soon fell in love with the shower gel as it leaves the incredible pistachio caramel scent on my wet skin then followed up with the body lotion it lingers for longer and leaves my skin silky soft and smooth.

Since i loved those two products so much i decided to then try the ‘Brazilian Crush body mist’. I used the mist before i got dressed, but after using the shower gel and body lotion and the scent lasted with me all day! i felt so fresh and clean. it comes in a 90ml bottle so it is great for taking on holiday and i’ve decided to save mine for my next trip away!

Last but not least is the ‘Brazilian Kiss Lip Butter’, out of all of the range i would say this is my least favourite product and i dont think i would re-purchase this. i love the packaging of the lip butter and it feels soft on my lips but for me it just feels a bit too heavy. i prefer a light lip balm and i feel like this one sits on my lips rather than soaks in to relieve dryness, however that being said once the lip butter has been left on my lips for a while i did feel like they were softer but i was aware that i had the lip balm on and didnt really like the texture.

I love the packaging of the Sol de Janeiro products and like having them sat in my bathroom. They are bright yellowy-orange colour which i find nice and cheerful to reach for in the morning! if you want to get your hands on some of there products to try they are available online from Cult Beauty, Feelunique, Selfridges & i also spotted there collection in Harrods on a recent trip to London.

Heres to beautiful skin!

Is the Dyson Hairdryer worth the hype?

So after lusting over this hairdryer since it got released in 2016 i decided to do some research on it to find out what all the hype was about. The first thing was the price…£300! my first initial thought was “thats expensive” considering my Diva hairdryer i have been using for years was only £50 and has dried my hair fine over the years so how can the Dyson hairdryer be worth all that money to do the same thing?

Well first of all the design of the Hairdryer is just the coolest and no other hairdryer compares to how good it would look in your dressing room and thats a fact! Also the option of the Grey & Pink or the White & Silver as they are both beautiful would be a hard choice although since i am a lover of all thinks pink my mind was made up easily if i was to choose one but is the design really enough? not really! so i delved deeper…

One of the best selling points to me personally was that the Dyson hairdryer claims to dry your hair in half the time it would usually take, considering my hair takes about an hour to dry as its thick and really long i was intrigued! i also liked that the Dyson hairdryer is lighter and smaller than other hairdryers as my arms ache from holding my Diva hairdryer for so long and would be a handy size for travelling with. These points alone had me interested in the hairdryer but at £300 i just wasn’t sure wether to go for it?? …

…so i was over the moon when i got it as a surprise Christmas gift!! i did however leave it sat in the box for about 2 weeks considering if i thought it really would be worth the money? if i should see if i could try it out somewhere first? if i should return it as i had a hairdryer? but i decided that it was a lovely present to receive and clearly as i hadn’t already bought it for myself i probably wouldn’t ever, so i decided to keep it!! Then came the excitement of washing my hair just so that i could dry it (something i usually HATE doing!!)

All i can say is WOW!! This hairdryer is amazing and i cant believe i never had it in my life sooner. It is worth every penny. My hair is super long and has a bit of a natural wave to it so it can sometimes go a bit frizzy which i usually tame after i blow dry my hair using my GHD straighteners. My hair was dry in 5 minutes and there was no need for any straighteners, my hair was silky smooth & straight, had an incredible shine to it and i felt like i just had a professional blow dry at a salon. My mam actually thought i had been and had my hair done!

I also loved the fact that my head did not feel hot usually with my Diva hairdryer i would need to be careful not to burn my head and my face would be bright red after drying my hair but with the Dyson it was enjoyable. The noise from the Dyson is a bit more quiet and subtle compared to a normal hairdryer so that was an added bonus. If you was thinking of getting this hairdryer but haven’t been sure i would say go for it, it is better for your hair (we all look after our skin but, do you look after your hair just as well?) , will save you time and money in the long run as you wouldn’t need to use smoothing products or straighteners afterwards, its a handy travel friendly size and it looks beautiful!!

You can also find some additional information on the attachments and settings of the Dyson Hairdryer here

The Dyson website offer FREE next day delivery and payment plans however if you are a BOOTS advantage card holder you can receive points back to spend in store which is especially good if you look out for there advantage card events where you can receive double points! i haven’t ever seen the Dyson hairdryer on discount so this is a good option if you was looking to save some money.

My first EVER beauty box subscription!

So after months and months of trying to decide which brand of Beauty Box to go for i finally gave in and chose Lookfantastic!

For those of you unsure what a Beauty Box is, it is a subscription of a monthly box being sent to your home at the start of every month filled with a surprise of luxury beauty goodies.

I decided to choose Lookfantastic over other brands available as i regularly shop on there website and love the Brands which they have available to buy on there so i knew they would not disappoint and i wasnt wrong!

The price for this beautiful box i personally think is great. it is £15 for one month with added discount the more months you sign up for in advance. i personally have gone with the 3 month subscription to try it out but i can see myself being hooked! The box arrives with FREE delivery aswell which is an added bonus. What i really loved about this box was the fact you get an Elle magazine with every order (which i would buy anyways for £4.40) so with this included it was an added bonus for me, you get 6 products to try out all from great brands and a lookfantastic magazine with extra tips & tricks on how to use the products in the box.

Want to know whats in the box for March 2018? Of course you do!….

From a brand that i use and love we have the Omorovicza Balancing Moisturiser 30ml this is a great size especially for in your handbag, gym bag or travelling. This brand can also be quite pricey and although there products are really worth it this is a great item to have in the box as it is a huge saving!

Next up we have Skin Chemists London Rose Quartz Youth Defence Lip Plump. This is a brand that i have not heard of before so i will be interested to see how this is. On first impressions i think i will love it, the packaging is really nice and has a lovely Rose Pink colour to it.

We then have a RENUSKIN advanced anti-ageing Flash Relax Face Mask for Mature Skin. i am still in my 20’s so this one may not be for me i will definitely give it a try but think this one might be good for my mam.

Then we have a SKIMONO total conditioning foot mask which i will try out when im having a pamper night. A great product to get our tootsies ready for some sunshine & sliders, which hopefully wont be too long!

Next up is DOUCCE freematic eyeshadow duo in colours 78 kate and 81 tenley which i must say are really nice chocolate brown colours lovely for doing a soft smokey eye which i love. i’m really impressed with these colours and look forward to trying them out. I haven’t heard or used this brand before but i think these shadows can be used to clip into a palette from the brand as they have little magnets on the back.

Finally we have a STYLondon brush which i think would be used for foundation. i have used this style of brush before and loved it so happy to give this brand a go!

Im looking forward to giving these products a go, if you would like to try the LookFantastic Beauty Box then click here!

Also if you would like to see me back with an update of how i got on with them please let me know!

Something for everyone!

So to start off with my first product review i thought i would share a product that everyone can use, no matter what skin type!

Over the last couple of years there has been a new skincare product that has been taking over our beauty isles worldwide, being used backstage at fashion shows on top models & is now available even in your local supermarket! The product i am referring to is Micellar Cleansing Water. This product is a little gem & i have no doubt that you are going to love it.

Bioderma was the original brand to launch a miceller water however there are now many available by all different brands such as high end brands Dior, Nars, La Roche-Posay to name a few but more affordable everyday brands are also available such as Simple, Bourjois, Nivea and my personal favourite Garnier. So what is this product i hear you ask… it is a super efficient and gentle way to cleanse your face morning & night. It removes make up, soothes & hydrates the skin, it is gentle on the skin and no water is required to use it, which makes it ideal for travelling and also for in your gym bag!

The micelles in the water are cleaning agents that work like little dirt magnets to lift away any impurities and make up from the skin. It is gentle on the skin, can be used on delicate areas, (contains no perfume) and there is no need to rub -you simply apply the water to a cotton pad and wipe over your skin. Your skin is left feeling clean & fresh with a healthy dewy look.

After trying many different brands my personal favourite is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. It removes my make up so effortless and leaves my skin feeling so cool, fresh and clean afterwards! i have to be careful with skincare products as i do have quite sensitive skin, especially on my cheeks but this product has caused me no problems at all. I use this product in the morning to give my skin a light cleanse, the cooling effect is nice to wake me up and then again at night time where i feel it works a lot harder at removing all the make up and dirt from the day. i personally use the water with large cotton pads and usually use about 4-6 a night just to be sure i have removed all the make up but this will depend on how much make up you have on yourself. You can chose to just use this product by itself as it is effective on its own, but i do like to follow up with my my usual routine of using my milk cleanser, toner, serum and moisturiser at night before i go to bed.

I also like the fact that this comes in a 400ml bottle which is a good size for how often you use it and is also available in a handy 125ml travel size which is ideal for travelling and also keeping in your gym bag.

I also like that it is easy to pick up, it is available from Boots, Superdrug, Bodycare, Savers and even Tesco! The cheapest i have found it is in Savers at £2.99 (Tesco are £3.99 but often put on special offers where you can pick it up for £2.66) and also the mini travel size is only 99p!! Total bargain and is a great size for you to try to see if you like it. I would also like to mention that although this product can be used on all skin types there is now a Garnier Micellar Water Combination Skin available for those who have more oily, spot-prone skin so there is something for everyone!

Thank You for reading my Blog!! Please feel free to leave me a comment or ask me any questions!
